Emily Jones is a theatrical technician from Wichita, Kansas. She began her career in high school, focusing on audio work in various theatrical spaces and companies.

Emily has recently expanded her expertise into the lighting industry, serving as the Master Electrician and Head Lighting Designer during her undergraduate program. Her lighting designs for Anatomy of Grey and Vanities earned her a certificate of merit and excellence nomination from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival (KCACTF). She also received nominations for her scenic designs for Vanities and The Crucible.

At 20, Emily started her professional journey as an electrician intern at the Black Hills Playhouse in South Dakota, where she worked as a light board operator and live audio mixer. She graduated from Sterling College with a B.A. in Technical Theater in December 2023, and is thrilled to be an electrician apprentice at the Santa Fe Opera for the Summer 2024 season. Emily has also worked professionally across the Midwest, including Oklahoma, Minnesota, South Dakota, New Mexico, Texas, and her home state of Kansas.
